Gaming Industry Security Executive Receives National Recognition
Thomas Boyd Is Recognized by Security Magazine
LAS VEGAS – December 17, 2007- Thomas Boyd, Luxor Hotel and Casino Vice President of Surveillance, Security and Safety, has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading security professionals by Security magazine. Luxor is one of the family of brands owned by MGM MIRAGE on the Strip.
Annually, Security magazine evaluates various security programs in the U.S. and the executives who lead them. It used available public and private resources and conducted interviews to identify the list of leading security programs and executives. The largest and most complex industries are ranked on a calculation that includes assets, people, reputation and regulation.

A former Military Police Officer in the United States Air Force, Boyd joined the Luxor in 2005. He has held numerous positions within the surveillance and security field including Vice President of Surveillance and Background Investigations at MGM Grand Detroit. Previously he was Vice President of MGM MIRAGE Corporate Surveillance.
