EMPLOYEES SET NEW RECORD, RAISE $6.9 MILLION FOR LOCAL CAUSES
MGM MIRAGE Employees Continue Strong Culture of Giving

LAS VEGAS – June 23, 2008 – MGM MIRAGE announced today that the company’s 66,000 employees donated an all-time high $6.9 million dollars to the Voice Foundation during its 2008 fundraising campaign. The Voice Foundation is the company’s employee-funded, nonprofit, philanthropic entity that collects and disburses employee donations to deserving local charities and causes.

This year, 54 percent of MGM MIRAGE employees participated in the Voice Foundation campaign. Some of the company’s properties experienced employee participation as high as 74 percent. Company-wide, the average donor contribution to the Voice Foundation was $195.

“Despite challenging economic times, support from our generous employees reached an all-time high this year,” said Terry Lanni, MGM MIRAGE Chairman and CEO. “This unprecedented expression of support from MGM MIRAGE employees demonstrates their commitment to uplifting the lives of those around them. As a result, countless individuals will benefit from their generous efforts.”

Since the inception of the MGM MIRAGE Voice Foundation in 2002, employee fundraising efforts have raised more than $30 million. This year’s fundraising total is a 9% increase over last year’s campaign.

In addition to direct employee contributions to the campaign, each MGM MIRAGE property planned a variety of fundraising events, such as golf tournaments, silent auction events and raffles to encourage employee participation. Company-wide events were also organized, including basketball and poker tournaments, which allowed employees to engage in friendly competition between resort properties, while contributing to the Voice Foundation.

The MGM MIRAGE Voice Foundation is designed to allow employees to funnel their personal charitable contributions to multiple entities in their local communities. In order to ensure that 100 percent of every employee donation benefits the intended recipients, MGM MIRAGE underwrites all administrative costs associated with operating and managing the Voice Foundation.

Employees are able to support a preferred charity, multiple community organizations, the local United Way, or funds specifically established to assist fellow employees in time of need, including the Employee Emergency Relief Fund which assists fellow employees during emergency situations; the Children’s Medical Support Fund which provides employees with short-term financial assistance when a child faces a medical emergency; or the Voice Community Fund which supports grants to nonprofit agencies selected by the MGM MIRAGE Community Voice Council (CVC).

The Voice Foundation will distribute grants to local nonprofit organizations later this summer.
