Debi Nutton Named as "Woman of Distinction" by the
National Association of Women Business Owners of Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS -April 6, 2007- Debi Nutton, Senior Vice President
of Casino Operations at MGM Grand Las Vegas, has been named as one of Southern
Nevada's "Women of Distinction" by the National Association of Women Business
Owners of Southern Nevada (NAWBO).
Annually, NAWBO honors women for their contributions in the Southern Nevada
business community. Nutton was selected for her work in the gaming, hospitality
and convention services industry. She began her gaming career in 1979 as one of
the first female craps dealers in Las Vegas and has ascended to her current
position overseeing all casino operations, including table games, poker, race
and sports book, as well as casino administration at one of the largest
properties on The Strip.
Prior to this role, Nutton served as Vice President of Casino Operations for
MGM Grand, a position she held since 2001. During her tenure, she spearheaded
the creation of the MGM Grand table games department website, dubbed
"Tabletalk," where employees can view schedules, request flex time, and ask
questions, as well as read policies, procedures, and updates on department
information.
Nutton is a member of the Casino Management Association and a frequent panelist
at the Global Gaming Expo. Originally from Butte, Montana, Nutton earned a
bachelor's degree in Nursing/Medical Assisting from the University of Nevada,
Las Vegas.
