Punam Mathur Receives Inaugural “Diversity Ambassador” award from the Asian Chamber of Commerce
LAS VEGAS – March 3, 2008 – Punam Mathur, Senior Vice President of Corporate Diversity & Community Affairs, received the inaugural “Diversity Ambassador” Award from the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce (LVACC). Mathur was honored last night at the organization’s Asian Community Achievement Awards banquet.
The LVACC recognized Mathur for her continuous commitment to advancing diversity in the Las Vegas community. Annually, the Chamber honors individuals who have achieved significant milestones in their career.
Since joining MGM MIRAGE in 1996, Mathur has helped to create an employee culture of awareness, acceptance and respect, which continues to garner national acclaim. With her leadership, MGM MIRAGE has received numerous accolades including such recognitions as “Top Corporations in the U.S.” by DiversityBusiness.com, “50 Best Companies for Minorities” and “America’s Most Admired Companies” by Fortune Magazine and “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” by DiversityInc magazine.
